** FIVE STARS ** It's simple, I'm from Long Island and I'm a bagel snob. Panera's....Einstein...those are pasteries, not bagels (though I do like the asiago pastery at Panera's). Bagel King has the cooking process right, the home-made cheese spreads and a decent special with the King's Breakfast. The home fries are outrageous! This new location offers a little extra elbow room for patrons and its not a battle (yet) at the coffee bar. Give them a little time while they work out the kinks. So when wcan we get one in Longwood....please? And one more small request...can you open at 6:30 (even if just counter service)? I often want to bring bagels into the office and have to go to an alternative :-(

YUMMY!! I LOVE this place! I was in the area and stopped by since I'd read such great reviews. I told the guy behind the counter that I was new to Bagel King, and I wanted to grab a half dozen bagels to give it a shot. Not only did he recommend some options (chocolate chip, cheddar jalapeno, wild berry, etc.) but he threw in a few freebies! At that point, I couldn't NOT try a sandwich. He recommended the 300 calorie light Cali Bagel. It was loaded with turkey breast, the freshest spinach I have seen in a sandwich shop, firm (not mushy, YES!) avocado and a sweet onion aioli that was incredibly tasty. I was also excited to find that the bagels do not have preservatives; the counter guy offered freezer bags to take home to keep the bagels fresh if they aren't going to be eaten within a few days. Now, I heard from the lovely counter guy that Bagel King MAY branch out - possibly Waterford Lakes area, but preferably, Oviedo (we could absolutely use a place like this!). Everything was fresh and tasty and whether you have had proper northeastern bagels before or not, you will absolutely taste the difference in Bagel King's bagels and anywhere else. I will be back for sure!

Delicious bagels and interesting and tasty menu. Try the gyro meat with eggs and bagel. Yummy. Really friendly people. A regular place to go!

Okay, I only went in to try one thing...a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. Wanted to see if they understood what a bagel is (vs. a pastry like mentioned in another review). I'll admit to being a snob who lived in a town in NJ with a bagel bakery in it so got them ultra fresh...and with relatives and a long history of Brooklyn and NJ locations where the bagels were...well....bagels. Making the necessary "FL water adjustment to thinking required when judging bagels or pizza crusts...these were DT. DARN TASTY. Much closer to 'real' than anything around here. Plentiful schmear, chewy but a little crispy outside..very very good. Picked up some day olds too, great bargain. Now there was no one else there and it was not super quick to get served so the other comments about service speed and confusion might happen but it was very quiet when I was there so no problem. Pleasant person served me. I will go back, and actually have a coupon/flyer that they sent me. I wanted to try one to see if I wanted a dozen. Yes. Very good bagels. Will try other stuff too next time.

They are the KING of bagels. Wish I had one closer to home. Was up in Lake Mary and got some. Have gotten bagels from Casselberry store too. They are the BEST! Please open up one down in southwest Orange County!

I grew up in this area but had never visited this local gem. How could I have missed this? We ended up here two days in a row it was so good! Our first visit was for brunch and we all went for a version of Frank's Special - 2 eggs, home fries, cheese and tomatoes with a bagel. I did mine with corned beef hash and my family went for Odd's Morning After which is a 1/2 order of Franks and Bagel King's AMAZING challah French toast. The hash and potato mix was fantastic - well seasoned with tender potato slices. The French toast was massive - thick slices of challah with a crazy-good cinnamon smell that made me briefly consider trying to distract my husband to steal his French toast. Thankfully, this wasn't needed as he kindly gave me a bite. It was warm fluffy heaven. By the time our bill was paid, we'd decided to return for lunch the next day. On visit two, I wanted to check out more of the lunch options. The Matzo ball soup was a mixed bag - the broth was weak, but the veggies and shredded chicken were good. The matzo ball itself was wonderful - light and fluffy. I went for the tuna melt for my entrée with their potato salad. The tuna salad was perfect - lightly sauced, well seasoned, and tasty. The potato salad was...okay. My hubby went for the gyro - and I could almost hear the tiny sad trumpets play as it arrived. He was expecting a traditional-type gyro. What he got was a more lady-like small wrap with only a few thick slices of meat. My grandfather looked overwhelmed when his Odd's Morning After arrived. He did a good job on it and still went home with at least two more meals. So, mind-blowing breakfast/brunch experience and a more mixed bag with our lunch experience. However, I have to say the service was outstanding on both visits. The second time especially our server was super helpful in answering questions about what might work best for my grandfather. We were also there about an hour before close and it can take my group some time to eat. All the staff was very gracious and even sent us home with a few baked treats.

The service here is horrible. Came in after the gym, put in my order at the front to EAT IN (told the cashier "for here") and when I went to sit down the server rudely told me "are you eating in? In the future you are not supposed to put in orders at the front when you are eating in". ok... FIRST OF ALL, No one directed me to do so. IF that is the environment of the restaurant then that is something the workers need to establish. I never knew this, and how was I supposed to know that when the cashier never mentioned anything? Secondly she acted as if I was taking up her precious time... THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER TABLE THERE WITH TWO PEOPLE DRINKING COFFEE. Anyways on with the food. I was in the mood for something light so I got a skinny turkey and avocado with tomatoes and onion on whole wheat bagel. It was just average. The food is not good enough for me to sacrifice service.

I forgot how good Bagel King was. I used to get together with friends every Sunday morning at the Bagel King in Casselberry. This one, in Lake Mary, is a much bigger place with a big table in the back room for groups (there's even a sign telling you to have your business meetings here). Some old friends were in town so we assembled (like the Avengers assembling at the Shawarma place, right?). We even had the same waitress (from the other location, and she recognized us - it's been years). Anyway, I had the Andy's Special, which was my usual - toasted everything bagel with 2 scrambled eggs and turkey ham (you can also choose turkey sausage, smoked applewood bacon, country ham steak or grilled pastrami) in the middle. Tasty home fries on the side. Can't beat these New York style kettle baked bagels. Glad to see that they opened more locations!

Please don't solicit me for a tip, when I am just stopping in to buy some take away bagels. I guarantee your customers find it annoying. Focus on your food quality, freshness and restaurant cleanliness, which all could be highly improved.

Bagels were excellent. Service was friendly and quick. They even gave me a few extra bagels for free.

I discovered Bagel King in Lake Mary shortly after I moved here from Central PA. First off, let me say that I was born in Northern NJ, about 30 minutes outside of NYC, so I know a good bagel when I taste one. Having lived in Central PA (pretty much Amish Country) since '88, I haven't had a really good one in a LONG time. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found this place. The service is very friendly, prices are good, they have a good selection of bagels and the cream cheese is fantastic. I have now been coming here weekly to get my bagel fix. It hasn't done anything to help my already bulging waistline, but I can't help it -- they're that good. I have yet to actually sit down in the cafe area, all of my orders have been a half dozen bagels to-go, but I'm anxious to try it out. Meanwhile, the wife has been begging me to use one of our many Einstein Brothers or Brooklyn Water Bagel Company coupons... nah, no thanks. I am a Bagel King fan now!

I just moved here and have gone for breakfast almost every day for the last two weeks! The food is amazing! The service is even more amazing! They had a contest to think of the best grilled cheese and my boyfriend won! So we even had, hence "had", a $10 gift card. We eat the Andys special or the meat lovers sandwich is to die for all in all we love this place. You should really give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Oh and the espresso is probably the best I've ever had. Have a good day! God bless.

Delicious, authentic, no frills bagel place. Service is casual, you seat yourself and make your own drinks. They take the order and bring your food. If you're dining in there's a 95% chance the owner will come by and throw some free food your way! Bacon is a must have, pretty sure it's deep fried. Breakfast food is nothing crazy to write home about but bagels, on the other hand, are. SO delicious and so authentic. If you're dining in, grab a bag of day old bagels on your way out. Highly recommend if you want some fast, filling breakfast, a friendly/homey environment and stellar bagels.

We let Bagel King cater an office breakfast for us. Scrambled eggs, potato hash, bacon, sausage, and a ton of bagels. Every thing came hot a delivered timely the eggs were tasty for being the standard catered served in big aluminum disposable dish. Bacon was bacon crispy and delicious. The sausage patties were too greasy for most I'd skip them next time as we had most left over. The potato breakfast hash. mixed reviews here as well I was not a fan it was very dry but they had helpfully provided a big squeeze bottle of checkup that most folks appreciated and used. The bagels though were fantastic far superior to what you get store bought or bought in bulk even from other restaurants. There was a nice variety that the whole office loved including the spreads overall very tasty Price too was better than many others we have used before like Chick-Fil-A and Einstein's We do a lot of catered breakfast spreads for morning meetings and planning events and I believe Bagel king will now be in heavy rotation for their Bagel spread.

EXCELLENT TASTING BAGELS. It is perfection, not a single bagel place can compare to ones served here. The shmears are delish. The veggie one is outstanding. I love the chunked up pieces of vegetables. That's very filling and makes it actually taste like veggies. My favorite bagels are the sesame, blueberry, everything, and sunflower wheat. The dining room was large and very accomadating. Unlike some Bagel kings that have been opened for awhile(they have small cramped dining quarters). Service was quick and perfect. No errors. Friendly personable staff. Survey was placed inside the bill for the meal. I would fill it out, I did. New places thrive on feedback, so give it. Coffee was fresh and tasty. Offering a variety of flavors with rich taste such as Irish Creme, Hazelnut, and Vanilla. Wow!! Loved The Coffee! Wish I could eat here every day! But noticed they have a lunch menu with a few options so definitely will be exploring more of the menu next time I visit!

First visit was great. We had table service for breakfast. 2nd visit was not great. I was the only customer in the place and there were at least 3 employees. Waited 15 minutes for one bagel. Won't waste my time again.

Great tasting bagels and they even have something I have never seen in Central Florida: salty lox. It is not sliced fresh but if you want it this is the only place I've ever seen in Central Florida to get it. They also have salt bagels.. The taste of the bagels is great but my one huge complaint is that NY Bagels don't have holes that you could pass a golf ball through. The hole should be more of a slit so your topics and other stuff don't fall through the hole when you bite into your bagel. Someone just needs to spend 15 minutes with the bagel maker to fix the problem. Once fixed this will be my only stop or bagels in Central Florida.

Very good bagels and very friendly staff! Breakfast selection was a bit sparse, but what they did have was tasty

Good breakfast choice; love the discount coupons I usually get in the mail. Applewood bacon is the bomb. BUT...the bagels are just not as good as the "sister" location in Deltona. The sisters say they follow the same recipe, so it has to be in how they are prepared. At first maybe I thought it was the flavor of bagel I typically order (egg) but even when trying others I found that I just didn't like the bagels that much. Something to do with flavor, texture, consistency. If I want a good bagel, it's worth the drive to Deltona. If I want a regular breakfast, I might come here.

This place is a shining gem in a land of sub-par bagels. Fresh bagels in a cute space, with wonderful, helpful, and friendly service. I stopped in today to try and duplicate the experience of NYC bagel shops, which I love so much. The experience was genuine, with Phyllis, the owner, making great recommendations and telling us the cool history of the business. I bought my favorite, completely unhealthy recipe: plain bagel, cream cheese, tomatoes, and bacon. It was top notch. Many bagel places in the area feel very "franchised", lacking the ability to customize your order. This is not one of those places. This place is also notable for it's substantial and hearty breakfast (outside of bagels) and lunch menu, all priced fairly. Dangerously, I may be stopping in here on the regular.

I don't like this location as much as the tiny Winter Park location, but the restaurant is bigger and nicer. I also love the iced latte in the carafes and their other coffees are tasty! Food is consistent at this location, the vibe at the tiny Winter Park spot is just a lot more personal and nice IMO.

Went this morning to get two dozen bagels for the basketball team. I would think that being down the street from the high school they would open at 6. I pulled up at 6:35 surprised to see the open sign off. I looked inside and saw some people working and saw that they opened at 6:30 so I parked and went to the door. The lady at the counter looked at me as I tugged at the locked door. She then went back to doing what she was doing. So I went to Brooklyn Bagels. Needless to say I'll never give it another try.

We have been to Bagel King in Lake Mary several more times since opening week and I have to say that the quality of their bagels is excellent. They really are delicious. A couple of things I have noticed in my last 3 visits though, make me somewhat sad about the service... 1) Went there on Saturday 7/12. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. It was served on a salt bagel and, because it was take out, I didn't find the error until I was at work. It was good, but I don't enjoy salt bagels and the sandwich was marred by the experience of having to scrape salt off the bagel. Pay attention to what your customers are ordering - esp if it's a take out order that isn't easily fixed after your customer leaves. 2) Went back on Sunday 7/13. Once again, I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. This time? PERFECTION. However, I ordered a coffee for the first time. It wasn't until I asked the server handing me my sandwich that they told me where to locate the coffee bar. Not really sure why they didn't provide me the instructions when I placed my original order. Not a big deal, but a little lacking in customer service. Don't assume that everyone knows where the coffee bar is located and that it's self-serve once you have placed and paid for your order. 3) Went in today, 8/2, to get a dozen bagels. When I walked in, the young woman working at the counter was working on a catering order. After waiting several minutes, she finally acknowledged me and took my order. She handed me the bag of bagels and I was paying by card. After I swiped, she told me "just follow the instructions on the screen" and turned and walked away. Seriously? You can't even stick around 15 seconds to hand me my receipt? I had to ask if the copy the machine (on her side of the counter) spit out was mine. Over her shoulder "yup it is." And so I tore my own receipt off the machine and left with my order. Wow. While I realize that an $8.50 order of bagels certainly doesn't make me your largest customer, I do still deserve to be acknowledged, spoken to, and assisted with some measure of politeness. Your bagels are awesome, but not awesome enough to make up for a rude employee at the front counter. And, considering the fact that I was the only customer in the store, it wasn't as if you were dealing with a huge crowd and a lot of chaos. I will thoroughly enjoy today's purchase, but I think I'll be taking a bit of a break from Bagel King. There's competition right down the road and they greet all of their customers with a smile. It's the little things that make a BIG difference.

Took over 30 minutes to get 4 bagel sandwiches that were never toasted as asked. Had the tuna and not that great. Son had a bagel with salami and told me that he could make it better at home. Seemed very disorganized

I did not like it very much. Waiter took too long and we were starving, decor was very diner. Food was okay but not much flavor.
